There's been a
live-transmission from Nuremberg to London this evening for Cybersonica's Soundwaves Artist Talk at Kinetica Museum. The
short speech introduced some critical politic statements regarding free speech for the speechless.
Dr. Richard Barbrook introduced and chaired the session; Cybersonica 07 Commissioned Artists Andy Huntingdon (tap.TAP),
Urban Research Institute member Michael Markert (kII 2.1) and Julie Freeman (Specious Dialogue) talked about their work
and shared their artistic philosophies and approaches to working with urban sounds.
The speech output in the video is generated by gestures. The phonemes are produced by the Mac OS X speech engine with a
kIII sensory device connected.
